Pearson Tests of English (PTE) is a fast result delivering English test which evaluates the English proficiency of candidates who wish to study abroad or immigrate or acquire a job in a foreign country. It is accepted for visa applications among institutions and governments around the globe.
It tests Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Questions often test 2 skills together, such as listening and reading or reading and speaking.
The whole test is done in a single session, lasting 3 hours and is taken sitting at a computer in a secure test environment.
The speaking part of the exam is done on the computer. Your voice is recorded and sent for marking.
One advantage of this test is that you get your results very quickly; in about 5 days.
To perform a PTE Academic test, you will need to visit a secure Pearson test center where you will be provided with a computer and a headset to listen to, read and respond to questions and a marker and rough pad

PTE test dates can be booked online. Test dates are available 4 times a month for paper-based tests and for computer-based there are multiple dates to choose from. The LRW (Listening, Reading and Writing) module tests are conducted on the same day whereas the speaking date is either a week prior or a week later from the main test date.
The examination fee for PTE is Rs. 13,300/- One can online www.pearsonpte.com at any of the IMFS centers and pay the test fee by credit card (Master/VISA) or debit card.
Late booking examination fee would be Rs.13,625/-
The student has the option after the test to list down the names of as many universities FREE OF COST on the PTE account of the student, which will be sent to the universities. The PTE scores are valid for 2 years. Result in 5 Working Days.
